Spring Fashion Can’t Get Here Fast Enough

Today’s post marks a momentous occasion. It’s the first outfit post this year that was shot at 6:30 p.m. Daylight Savings is both exhausting and brightening, which may make it the most bittersweet day of the year — second only to the day after Christmas.

Of course, even though it was technically bright, it was hardly sunny. We shot these photos in a downpour — but I’ll take it.

I’m also battling a nasty cold, so today’s outfit is completely focused on luxurious comfort. The draped Vince tee manages to toe the line between casual and office-appropriate. The Grecian vibe is my absolute favorite style, and I seem to collect consignment versions with the same fervor others reserve for Breton stripe tees. (I’ve worn similar tops here and here.)

Side note: I’ve been chasing these types of draped T-shirts for years because my absolute favorite version, which I bought at Target in 2004, disappeared at a Williamsburg laundromat in 2009. Ironically, every other version I’ve purchased since has been twice as expensive and only half as good.

Here’s hoping this Mucinex starts working and the rest of the week is sunnier — I have some spring outfits to debut!
